remain a more than attractive enough proposition for top players even if there's one season with no uwcl on offer.

like we saw with man city for example that when they did miss out on top 3 recruitment didn't take any notable hits

totally derail the rest of the season and we miss out, I don't think it's realistic to catastrophise that that'd severely impact on planned recruitment.

we got the champions cup ££ bump, and with the crowds and investment levels in the wsl being what they are I really do believe can pay v well and

move until the summer, I'm ok with waiting as long as the team are doing all that's possible to have those deals as advanced as possible.

still believe current squad should be competitive for uwcl spots + chance at silverware, and even in the most extreme worst case that a couple of injuries do

beyond an enjoyable palate cleanser from the wsl, do you think having the opportunity this week to play new teams from different continents in knock-out games could have any lasting benefits in freshening up arsenal's approach and raising our intensity levels back to the early slegersball days?

and renew doesn't mean they're a nailed on starter for every single game, just that i still think they can still contribute significantly to the squad and i wouldn't be comfortable seeing them line up for an opposition team

will you be signing the petition for lotte to do the pre-match playlist every week?

the bbc broadcast really highlighted mead's effectiveness cutting inside on their comms/punditry, which is something you've both spoken about plenty this season- so do you think there was much notably different in our approach today, or was this a W that had been in the post for a few weeks now?

despite a gap of only 10 days, quite a few factors will be different for this upcoming cup rematch against man utd, e.g. meadow park, evening, assume no LW6 available - what do you think will likely be the key factors to avoid another stalemate and extra time/penalties?

two 0-0s against man utd this season, and arguably the red card gave them an added benefit of providing arsenal's staff with less of a 'proper' look at them before the subway cup rematch in 10 days - are there any adjustments you'd like to see made to help finally score a goal next time out?

liv smith taken off after 60' once more despite looking the more threatening of our wingers, perhaps a 'protection' sub after yet another game where wsl officials permit persistent fouling against her - do you think there's anything more the club can do to maximise use of our star signing?

fwiw i also felt renee made the right choices in subs to try and win the game, but was always going to be tough.

mariona's technical ability and vision is just a level above, and it's so so good to have leah back and actually looking like herself pretty much straightaway

so my gut feel was that actually the red card helped utd, because they'd already created so little threat with 11 that going down to 10 just solidified their gameplan and basically justified defaulting to the nastiest low block hoping for a chance on the break or to capitalise on an error

also like the length of renée's deal. if it doesn't work then clearly she won't last the duration, but imo it would be much harder to plan the level of squad turnover required without a showing of medium term commitment to your head coach
