I mean sometimes I feel like glitch speedruns are kind of boring and not how the game is played to me *personally*, but I also know speedrunning is about other stuff than I like and skips and glitches are part of the tool kit.

Man. I go to my LGS to play informal Soul Calibur tournaments and some kid compared the DBZ games to the former. The room went from dozens of happy chatters to being able to hear a pin drop. Lol. I actually felt kind of bad for him.
