Ah! Drizzle today but this evening it was noticeably frosty & the deck slick! Maybe a proper frost in the making. Then I can start lifting bulbs & packing away the too many pots😱Garlic’s planted but got more spring bulbs to plant🤦🏽‍♀️need plants anonymous! Is yours all done? Thanks! You too!🤗

Ahh seems the same here - not quite heat wave territory but 22C in late October!!! Ah yes they do suffer from mildew often by this time! Some of mine were more resistant- I should make note for next year! Did you find that too?

Worth persevering, these are all from seed.
Pictures show a selection of open flowered dahlias in shades from pale pink through cerise to poppy red on foliage lime green to almost purple.

They’re all so beautiful! I love the dark foliage- which is part of the reason I hunted down the seeds last year. I’m hopeful that planting tubers next yr (from this years seed grown ones) in richer soil may result in blooms. They should have stored up some energy, given it wasn’t used up to make 🌺

I love marigolds! I just visited them- don’t look so hot on this soggy morning. Been on the fence about pulling them. Temps are set to dip below freezing here by early next week, so it may be time 🤷🏽‍♀️

Wish you luck Anne! I’m very curious to find out. I have an anemone in couple places in the garden and would love more of them- from seed would be so fun! Thank you!

Thank you! Nature is a great artist! I should call it serendipity since my bishop did not flower (grown from seed) but hopefully there will be tubers 🤞🏽I am very pleased indeed with this CAL /Bishop hybrid🥹

Good morning/aft Celia 🙋🏽‍♀️What a lovely surprise that is! It seems nothing will stop your clematis!!😃 oh for sure-I plan to garden next yr. I took a week away at the end of Sep. & it’s stalled my momentum but that’s ok. I’m hunting down seeds now 😂 !here’s my morning surprise!! Sweet peas! Hah! So fun
