Realised that I’m now treating funny viral videos in the same way footballers celebrate goals —

1) initial joy,
2 sudden panic it might be AI/offside
3) lengthy investigation as joy saps away
4) conclusion, joy modulated through fatigue if proven legit/onside, but angry and gutted if AI/offside

In an attention economy, is it tempting for political parties to copy the mad policies that other mad political parties have got loads of media fuss about, rather than look for ideas that might help? Is that the explanation for deciding you’d like a civil war too? Is the thinking *that* crap?
