That is all too true. That group of people are causing chaos in all kinds of things, not just the world of computer programming and usage, alas.

Somehow, cooling the planet by cutting farm crops off from the sunlight they need seems more like "destroying the village to save it", to me.

I remember a study several months ago showing that once people understood how "ai" works they were far less likely to use it.
Unsurprisingly, that study got very little news coverage and is really hard to find these days.

I can't force stores to use it, but I play it in my car and such all winter long. It's surprising how much it's helped me cope.

I'm not a science person, so can't help you there. I also spent far too long in retail, so I share your feelings about the "seasonal music" this time of year.
I found my own personal remedy was collecting music like Renaissance-era stuff (especially brass-music) and groups like Anonymous 4.

And that's not hyperbole: I'm not trans, but some "people" think I don't look correctly and they've harassed me, threatened me, and one tried to call the police on me.

Public toilets are already being policed by people, because there's a terrifying fringe who actively *want* to do just that.
Worse still, they don't care if someone is trans or binary or whatever. They want to impose their own definitions of gender, and force everyone else to comply.

She had a direct role in causing hundreds, maybe thousands, of people to be targeted with harassment, death threats, and more. Now that she's on the receiving end of that same treatment she's crying and running away.
She should be helping to clean up the mess she helped make.
