Here's the obligatory art vs. artist collage for '25. I didn't build as many instruments this year but they all have been properly unique. Moving from fantasy art to instrument building is one of the best decisions I've ever made!

My Thai Phin finally showed up! It's been held up in customs since late August but it was finally delivered yesterday.
Solid rosewood body, 22" diatonic scale tuned to AEA, and a properly epic headstock. I've already swapped pickups and rewired the electrics to my standard.
I'm not mad at this.

Seriously, sales have been great and I've nothing left to offer for under the yule tree. I am pretty much done for the holiday season and I am shuttering my booth for the winter.

Shop update: "Fashbash" is an inherently political build. It has gone under a bit of an upgrade that now includes new hardware, locking tuners, and a special voodoo doll and pin tucked inside so you can stab at the black heart of these interesting times.

The weather forecast for tomorrow morning looks absolutely gorgeous so I am packing up all the things to be at the Las Cruces Farmer's Market. I'll be there (11/15) from 8:30am-1pm with three builds in tow and a lot of other goodies. If you're local, pull up!

"Buzzsaw" is a coffin box build with a tele-style bridge and flame treated finish. The blade is from my workshop. Inside are steel bars for structure and sustain. Tuned to DADG. I may swap to locking tuners in the future.
I'm definitely keeping this one.

"Buzzsaw" is a coffin box build with a tele-style bridge and flame treated finish. The blade is from my workshop. Inside are steel bars for structure and sustain. Tuned to DADG. I may swap to locking tuners in the future.

"Downscale" will definitely rattle windows. Inside the box is a death's head moth medallion mounted on blackened walnut. A four rail humbucker powers the sound. Strung with 85/65/45 strings and tuned to GDG on a 25.5" scale.
It's all appropriately brutal 🤘

"Little Wing" is a very petite build that's smaller than a soprano uke - tip to tail it's 17.5in (44.5cm). Under the lid is the full set of electrics you'll find in one of my bigger builds. The neck is poplar with a walnut fretboard and diatonic scale. Tuned to B.
