The end of the day comes early here in Maine, but it comes with abundant beauty. Even a place as ordinary as our front yard displays the awesome wonder of the season and our place in it. Thanks to everyone for your birthday wishes today! May you all have a joyful Christmas!

Today it is going to warm up into the 50s! That will melt much of the snow we have gotten over the last week. And that melting means we are getting some pretty impressive icicles. Not a bad Christmas decoration!
