Sounds very contradictory. If Europe wants to catch up on future industries, it is not the time to roll back on the electrification of cars.

Remember: delaying decarbonisation does not give breathing space for the industry. It simply cedes future green markets and net-zero technologies to countries with clear plans.

This is why, negotiations on investments, industrial policies and the 2040 target need to start now.

La France dément vouloir découpler l'objectif climatique européen 2040 et 2035. Tant mieux.

Maintenant qu'elle a mis 2040 à l'agenda du Conseil européen, elle a la capacité de créer les conditions d'un accord entre les 27 sur les -90 %. #EUCO

Maintenant que la France a mis le sujet à l'agenda du Conseil européen #EUCO, elle a la responsabilité de porter les conditions d'un accord sur les 90% : industrie, investissement, etc.

Une approche plus efficace que de bloquer/repousser l'objectif.

Emmanuel Macron a prévu d’aborder le sujet lors du Conseil européen du 26 juin. La France souhaite notamment obtenir que l’énergie nucléaire soit traitée sur un pied d’égalité avec les renouvelables.
