do people do episodic web fiction? i guess to clarify i don't just mean serialized long stuff, of which there is a ton, but like. picaresque* or anthology stuff. feel like everything that i have been directed to by my particular circles of nerds is much more unified novelly narratives

spawned lots of mushrooms and just one slime to test this, and it does seem to work now.

it's inconsistent enough that i don't think it's quite what i was aiming for, but you can scare the moths(?) that hang out around the mushrooms away now, but they will try to path back if you are not in the way.

mostly i like working with roguesharp but there's a bunch of stuff where i'm like. why doesn't this class have an obviously useful method. why don't the docs explain how this class works so i have to go read the source. presumably all of this would bother me less if i were more knowledgeable,

not sure if it makes more sense to do a goal map for every kind of thing a creature might want to path to, and then combine them appropriately for each kind of creature, or do a goal map for each kind of creature even though some of them will overlap. probably the former

until such time as i have added using items in ways other than throwing them, i have replaced torches (lit torches on the ground randomly is weird) with bioluminescent mushrooms (cute)

building a sorcerer because obviously. the default attack spell appears to be "a blast of obsidian butterflies slices everyone in a line in front of you"

me: I'm so sure people have been egregorizing TTRPG characters as long as chaos magic has been a thing, at least. which is almost exactly as long as TTRPGs have been a thing, come to think of it
