I’m not sure i can think of an obvious way of trying to instil in players how much work goes into optimising player housing in wow so shared areas like the neighbourhood work, but the devs need to keep saying this till it becomes accepted fact. Seen so many grumbles re outside limits this week

not sure how one would sort this out in mmos, but here we see khadgar twice because i skipped one set of quests, but triggered another, so now there's two different instances of him offering two quest chains in the same space

i want to find some crystals decor to add on the bottom of my floating island. also some atmospheric lamps for the front area as it's so dark. maybe have a little midnight garden and table/chair overlooking everything.

i made a floaty boy. i hope that they make bottoms for the houses rather than patching it out.
December 5, 2025 at 5:54 PM
lol i was jut futzing around with your tip about making houses float using the invisible upwards arrow, and tested whether it worked for rotation too. it half works, you can rotate the house along the two invisible axis that are hidden, but it immediately resets. now i really want a leaning house!
December 5, 2025 at 5:15 PM
you really can just throw your house up into the air. i kinda do wonder if they'll patch it out because they didnt model the house bottoms and it looks pretty immersion breaking

oh weird, chrome has added a new function, split views, they've basically added windowing inside chrome. there's several ways to invoke it including dragging an element (link/image/etc) to left/right and hovering, and it will present a split view. the tab will show merged details.
December 5, 2025 at 1:15 PM
lol this looks like ass. why'd they make it plaid. how is that helpful

what the housing team has created is nothing short of a miracle, but for something that is deeply rooted in the social aspect, if they want it to work they are going to have to bend on making things like this work
December 4, 2025 at 1:01 PM
hmm im gonna press f for doubt. if there's 1 mount that increases all different travel modes with no tradeoffs then no one will want to use another. either there's more to come (backporting same values to other mounts) or this mount will have some downsides added
December 4, 2025 at 11:37 AM
for some reason i've been thinking a lot about whether you could build a quaint cobble street of stratholme, pre plague, using wow housing skyrooms
December 4, 2025 at 10:30 AM
already amazing things being built by people in wow housing. this one gives me lots of ideas. they used upscaled wagons
December 4, 2025 at 9:52 AM
the amounf of fake avengers doomsday videos on youtube is kinda impressive. sure im getting served them by the alg, but i guess im just kinda surprised people spend so much time making this slop
December 4, 2025 at 9:30 AM
ok neat little quality of life for ensembles. wont hit till 12.0 but still a good thing
December 3, 2025 at 9:48 PM
hmm this areas actually super cool and spooky
December 3, 2025 at 8:06 PM
i decided to just buy a plot for now and find one i like in the future. although this ones kinda super cool
December 3, 2025 at 8:01 PM
every single plot in this neighbourhood is taken except for the one which is beach-scrubland
December 3, 2025 at 7:51 PM
guess i can get rid of this weakaura now that dragonflying is different
December 3, 2025 at 7:48 PM
let's fucking go. elvui's absence was looming. we'll just have to see how it feels once it's midnight ready.
December 3, 2025 at 7:08 PM

December 3, 2025 at 7:05 PM
oops i had a glamour on me when i got the hidden appearance for my blood dks weapon
December 2, 2025 at 10:45 PM
patch day baby
December 2, 2025 at 4:54 PM
also maybe it's just because i learnt a bit about parametric modelling for 3d printing but honestly some objects like these wooden platform/panels, we should just be able to resize them to an arbitrary xy dimensions and have the texture rescale to add more planks.
December 2, 2025 at 4:49 PM
e.g. that beam could either be uniformly, or length ways scalable. perhaps there would be no good reason it couldn't be arbitrarily scalable so you could for instance give dimensions 10,0.2,0.08 xyz making a long thin plank. textures would be hard i guess, or scale to each surface proportionately?
December 2, 2025 at 4:43 PM
something i've been thinking a lot about. i would like to see non-uniform scaling for some objects in wow housing. e.g. structural elements like this, it would be much easier to be able to reshape them arbitrarily to fill the space they need to, rather than lay down X number to fill up space
