i think my most notable problem with wow housing so far is the purchase system and identifying decor that i want to get for a purpose. the idea that i have to go half way around the world for an item every time i run out of it is too much friction for me, it makes me feel overwhelmed.

i want to find some crystals decor to add on the bottom of my floating island. also some atmospheric lamps for the front area as it's so dark. maybe have a little midnight garden and table/chair overlooking everything.

you really can just throw your house up into the air. i kinda do wonder if they'll patch it out because they didnt model the house bottoms and it looks pretty immersion breaking

ok swapped out my graphics card to a 5070ti from my old 2070 super. nothing's blown up. super paranoid about that new connector but it's probably fine. it's not a super high end card so it's not gonna pull the kind of watts an 80 or 90s series does.

oh weird, chrome has added a new function, split views, they've basically added windowing inside chrome. there's several ways to invoke it including dragging an element (link/image/etc) to left/right and hovering, and it will present a split view. the tab will show merged details.

im not sure i can fully explain this to anyone who's not felt like me but the way ADHD meds make me feel for the first time in my life, if the detractors just understood the peace of mind i feel today that a few months ago i couldn't imagine... last few days of news and discourse i've just avoided.

it's kinda impossible to use a camlink4k connected camera with windows whatsapp as a video device. it doesn't show as a real hardware device and whatsapp ignores virtual ones. tried all the workarounds like obs virtualcam etc, none of them work. incredibly frustrating.

also, i just got a thumb/wrist support brace because i think i have de Quervain's tenosynovitis. just putting it on and it restricting how much my thumb/wrist can bend/twist immediately relieves the pain a bit.

because im bad at using up my holiday today is my last day of the year as i use up all the unused holiday. also should i just got to oz for a month, it's currently 40+ degrees.

what the housing team has created is nothing short of a miracle, but for something that is deeply rooted in the social aspect, if they want it to work they are going to have to bend on making things like this work

hmm im gonna press f for doubt. if there's 1 mount that increases all different travel modes with no tradeoffs then no one will want to use another. either there's more to come (backporting same values to other mounts) or this mount will have some downsides added
