For some time my gay boyfriend and I have been cooking our way around the world. It has recently occurred to me what a delicious fuck you this is to the anti-immigrant anti-diversity mindset. We're in Spain right now, paella and sweet potatoes.

i have been trying to do less doomscrolling and more scribbling. fun fact! i'm a trained artist, i have a degree! i'm really bad at realism and not great with watercolors, yet here i am trying things! (not fishing, promise) recommend in these bleak times, just make some stuff just because.

I was *really* on the fence about bringing the bike, the forecast has not been great, the weather on the road was AWFUL, and it's kind of a hassle loading and unloading it every night. But today I rode to the beach and it was GLORIOUS.

This jaw dropping installation at the Seattle Asian Art Museum by Pakistani artist Anila Quayyum Agha blew my damn mind. Made me gasp with wonder. Photos show it's so beautiful, but it's also very large scale, so you *really* experience it.
