There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

I have a couple of extra Figma Design + FigJam seats that I paid for until March 2026. I’d like to give them away to those who need it the most, such as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color creators, recent graduates, immigrants, or individuals working on social justice campaigns.
Breakdown:
	•	2 Design seats — full design access (Figma Design editor).
	•	0 Dev Mode seats — no developer-mode licenses.
	•	2 FigJam seats — collaborative whiteboard access.

the shift towards the big dark here in seattle is hard on me, i suffer from light deprivation, and also, the way my dog gets extra snug and is like, let's just stay in bed til May... i like that part.

The latest layoffs have me thinking about this episode of CANNED. This gov employee talks about how destructive the layoffs are to essentials systems. It's not a simple reboot because critical pieces are broken or missing as a result of poor planning and haphazard cuts.

There is so much great advice from this episode's guest about how to manage when your boss hits you with that bullshit performance improvement plan. TLDL, don't sign a damn thing in the moment. Ever. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

i have this deeply absurd desire to see the national mall covered in portland frogs on no kings day. cities streets covered in dancing portland frogs across the nation. small town squares populated with portland frogs. a biblical quantity of portland frogs.
nerdseyeview.bsky.social
absolutely fucking not, it will only make it worse what kind of lazyass hellish solution is this.

no, no thoughts.

i think it's ironic -- is that the word? -- that the same folks spreading lies about protestors getting paid are stiffing the workers who are supposed to suppress those protests.
nerdseyeview.bsky.social
it would be great if i could get my soros checks for the *first* round of protests i attended against these lying antisemitic clowns

Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."

YET. Doesn't carry it YET.

I would like to see this as one of those inflatable costumes at the gestapo protests.

(photo is mine, that's my backyard golem)
ceramic statuette of the golem, a stocky man shapped figure. he is standing in the grass and it looks a little bit like he's on fire. there are hebrew letters across his chest; they spell EMET, the hebrew word for truth.

I'm sure there's nothing antisemitic or islamophobic here. I'm sure.

a follow up question could be: so, before you found out this hit your family, you DGAF, is that correct?

I think I might need to lie down: Wolf Blitzer just said to Marjorie Taylor Greene "You're a courageous politician, but more important, a loving mother" for speaking out against her party on health care.
