Also, it's my 34th birthday and it was pretty amazing to see people discover the value of collective action methods for social problems. I hope and pray that my work as an educator and consultant is helpful for those pursuits. This world is a better place when the golden rule is used for action.

If every organization paid way more attention to the resources for committee facilitators to be successful (like protocols and clear goals) and less time on corporate friendly anti bias training, then I believe that we would address the gaps between culturally responsive education goals and reality.

I help institutions be mythbusters about culturally responsive education and equity committees. That's how I apply the things I learned from my sociology degrees. Also, I help leaders address the social, emotional, and intellectual dilemmas for JEDI committee members AND facilitators.
