Just like with nepa original comments get better traction than copy paste. But if you only have energy for 5calls or action network that's better than no comment and is a good starting place. #bettertogether #nffestrong
Sometimes people comment that they’ve never called a member of Congress and they are nervous about it.

I completely understand. My suggestion is to write down your thoughts first.

Then call and give them your name and zipcode, and immediately begin reading your statement all the way through.

Starbucks baristas have done everything right — organized, bargained, and stood together.

But the CEO still refuses to offer a fair contract or end union busting.

If baristas go on ULP strike, our response is simply DON’T BUY STARBUCKS.

Good stuff from national!
We've had some questions about the omission of the furlough pay provisions in the recent shutdown notices. Here's language you can include w/signature acknowledging the new notice that ensures you aren't waiving your rights.

Federal workers have worked without pay for a month. Rent and other bills are due. Insurance costs are about to double. Construction jobs are being cut.

President Trump: stop inflicting pain on workers.

Fund the government.
Fix the health care crisis.
Put working people first.

When we fight, we win! A federal judge just barred the Trump administration from firing federal workers at more than 20 agencies during the government shutdown. We’ll keep fighting these illegal firings with everything we have.

BREAKING: Judge denies the Trump-Vance admin’s attempt to overturn a court order and extends the block on unlawful mass firing during the shutdown.

This is yet another victory in our case for workers’ rights and accountability in government.
