I recently spent an afternoon at a yarn shop that hosts ‘Open Knit’ meetings and I was not only pleasantly surprised by the diversity among the attendees but the easy at which current and some very heavy topics were talked about. Hands were busy,minds were opened and hearts were full.

My nervous system can’t take much more

The blowback in the midterms better be huge.

My family in northern Germany has been digging out from under heavy snowfall. Meanwhile here in PA it has been a relatively dry-although cold-winter. Have not had to shovel once yet. Can’t remember the last time we had any significant snowfall.
Just not normal at all

I remember a January visit to Hungary in the early 90’s and the Balaton was covered in thick ice.

In the ‘24 election:
88 million didn’t vote,
75 million voted for Harris
77 million voted for Trump.

So: the winner was not voting followed narrowly by Trump over Harris

The winner was “I don’t care” and “too difficult” and “I’m busy” and “whatever”.

Conspiracy theories? 88 million didn’t care.

The koolaid is potent.

A man who's never faced real consequences for anything, who's never known real pain or loss, who's schemed or miraculously been plucked out of every jam in which he's trapped himself...is of course delighted by real-world chaos and violence. It's all a TV show to him.

Thanks for reminding me how impactful that mini series was! And he was brilliant in it!
