I am working on a kids book book that's about making life easier/ tips for managing sensory and emotionsl stimuli etc.

Haha I like this... Change the language when you don't like the word.

I got scolded lately for saying ocean instead of sea- was told it's pretentious. I was shocked! I just love saying the word ocean, it feels so nice and calming.

Neither specifically cover friendships for teens, but the Autistic Guide to Communicating and Connecting does have a large section on friendships- just depends if the teen is up to reading chunks of text.

When I was in the psychiatric hospital ( where I got my autism diagnosis) I was in a dissociative episode & they put peppermint oil on a cotton ball the aroma helped ‘ground me’ I’m just sharing in case anyone with dissociative disorder needs some extra tools!
