Sooo. Yes, for everything except the huge sellers, the simplest response to the sugar tax was to reformulate the main version below the threshold. Many of these also have 'zero' versions with no sugar too but smaller shops only want to stock one 7up and one Fanta.

I think the key technology they need protecting from is 'algorithmic feeds'. Essentially, the apps need to be locked to direct follows in chronological order, with other content available on a 'find and pull' basis only.

GitLab.com database incident
Yesterday we had a serious incident with one of our databases. We lost six hours of database data (issues, merge requests, users, comments, snippets, etc.) for GitLab.com.

Not sure what 'not affiliated' means but for work we use BitBucket (Part of Atlassian - Aussie company). I slightly prefer the UI but there are feature differences - no equivalent to github pages for eg.

As an 'informed voter', my Labour vote should be mostly credited to the party. Our MP is ok, but not really my flavour. A ppc has to be pretty bad to stop me voting Labour (although they did manage this the time they fielded a kid who then ended up in jail).

I hate to be condescending but they are just kids. I've listened to their pod and it felt like I was listening to a student union production. A shame when you think about some of the writers that came up through that show in the past. (And that Euan Blair cock up makes a lot of sense too).

Before reading the quote I assumed this would be because Trump would bully it off the recipient. (Although I'm not sure if a Pulitzer is shiny or not).

You're most welcome to have my PGCE and I have a bunch of e-learning age awards that no one's gonna miss.

And, compared to other 'more rational' ways that you could tactically inject the $100bn (roads, schools/hospitals, flood prevention/defence), I think this one gives the UK a more strategic bit of infra.
