GLP-1 user for 3 years, recently switched to Zepbound
Totally fair. My understanding is insurance is now requiring people to enroll in a virtual health program to provide coverage, in addition to the BMI/clinical requirements. Is the concern that PHI is being de-identified and a mass of user data is shared? Or that PHI data isn’t secure at Omada?

Curious how getting the vials goes for you. I haven't used the vials or Lilly Direct yet, but will switch if my new doctor isn't able to get insurance to cover it in the next few weeks

I just switched to a new doctor because they have a team in their office that is focused just on working with insurance companies to get coverage. Hoping that it’ll make a difference because $550 a month isn’t sustainable for me

This happens to me! The struggle is that for me it also applies to drinking water so I have to really put effort in to stay hydrated. Otherwise I don’t really have the urge

That’s great! I make sure to be extra careful about what I eat when moving up a dose because it’s the only time I really experience side effects. I’m moving up to 10mg on Thursday.

I first found out from my PCP in 2022, back when it was easily covered by insurance. Didn’t know really anything about it at the time

I feel this, going up a dose would help but I eventually plateaued on Ozempic. Zepbound was able to kickstart it again for me, but even Zepbound plateaus a bit for me if I don’t increase the dose after a while. Changing injection sites also has helped

Same - I feel like before it I was struggling more on days 5/6/7. On Zepbound, I feel it through the whole week pretty much.
March 14, 2025 at 6:41 PM
Yeah I struggled with that as well. My doctor said to take miralax/clearlax/etc a couple times a week and that's helped, but it doesn't feel like something I want to do forever

When I titrate up, I notice that the day or two following my shot I'm much colder, and that happens for a few weeks. So honestly I usually turn the heat higher and layer up to prepare.

I do the same thing except a Fairlife Nutrition Plan shake, I get them from Costco
March 14, 2025 at 7:32 AM
I also did the switch not too long ago - Ozempic to Zepbound. They feel pretty different to me, curious what your experience has been so far
March 14, 2025 at 7:30 AM
I'm about to switch to Lilly Direct, at least they've dropped the prices more if you get it straight through them. And metformin also didn't really do wonders for me
March 14, 2025 at 7:27 AM
That makes sense, I’m curious what you mean about customizing doses. I usually just take mine once a week so I’m generally not customizing. And I’ll check out Lose it, I use Vida for food tracking because my insurance covers it, but I don’t love it

Would love to hear what you think of it - what do you like about it? How do you think it could be better?
March 13, 2025 at 5:01 PM
This is exactly what happened to me. I was able to lose about 12lbs on Ozempic but was stuck there for months. I switched to Zepbound and was able to kickstart it again, and am now down an additional 20lbs.
March 13, 2025 at 5:29 AM
Good luck! I started Zepbound for very similar reasons and while I haven't hit my goal yet, I'm moving in the right direction when it felt hopeless before. For me, it definitely makes it significantly easier, but I also wouldn't call it effortless. Really rooting for you!

That’s awesome! The mental freedom changed my life too, and it’s a massive relief when your body finally starts cooperating after struggling for so long
March 13, 2025 at 5:06 AM
Yeah same, it’s so helpful hearing other peoples’ experiences when these drugs are so new and many people aren’t super comfortable discussing them
March 12, 2025 at 6:44 PM
That’s incredible, congrats!
March 12, 2025 at 6:42 PM
Whoa I didn’t know that either, good to know thanks!
March 12, 2025 at 6:39 PM
Wow that’s huge, congrats!
