08/06/2025 - As with many other Photographers and Butterfly/Nature Lovers, I ventured over to one of the Local White Letter Hairstreak Sites in Plymouth the other day and wasn't disappointed, wonderful to see and very lucky to have them so close to home :)

Whilst sat by a Devon Pond, I noticed this little thing paddling around in circles and I just had to post the pic because when I got home and viewed it on the Computer It really tickled me, is it just my overactive imagination or do you see it/them too ? - notonecta obliqua

I came across this little Gem the other day, a Tortoise Beetle, I think of the Pilemostoma fastuosa flavour, not sure what was going on here but I thought I'd grab a snap to add to my Macro Collection of Insects, tiny little thing measuring around 4mm.

Whilst in the area and a stroll along Boscombe Beach I thought I'd take a quick snap of the Pier, the sun was setting and the footfall was a little less to deal with so I managed to get this one in the Can - #boscombebeach #bournemouth

Early Evening at RSPB Arne watching this Egret tiptoeing through the water as it looked for its supper, what better way to end your day 😍

Whilst in Dorset at RSPB Arne I was lucky enough to see this Female Sand Lizard, one of Two seen Exiting and Excavating Burrows which I'd never seen before 😍

A trip to RSPB Arne this little chap fell out of an Oak Tree, literally one step behind me, the other half spotted it so we waited close by warning people as it was quite fretful and very vulnerable, it eventually scuttled of into the undergrowth where a parent was waiting 🥰

Gorse Weevil - Exapion ulicis - This Tiny little Weevil, 2-3mm in size was a nice little find whilst out with the Macro Lens the other day, I watched it scurry around the Gorse for ages before it eventually settled and I was able to grab a snap.

A real Bounty of Birds picked up on my Bird App this evening in our small local Woodland, one or two I’m doubtful about but most of them I’ve seen there or close by in the garden 🤩

Here's one from the Garden taken back in the Summer, I believe this to be a Common Carder Bee (Bombus pascuorum) which was nestled in the Flower of Tropaeolum, commonly called nasturtium. Summer seems a distant memory now but Spring is just around the corner :)

The Beauty and Wonder of Yellow Stags Horn fungus (Calocera viscosa) with its antler like branches this tiny little Autumnal trinket was a welcomed find on my last hunt for Fungi 🙂 #Fungifriday

The remarkable Chinese Character moth. Seen in my Cheshire garden in the summer. One of the many moths that disguise themselves as bird droppings. Named, I believe, after the three white marks in the centre of the wing that looks like Chinese characters. #moths

Asahina's cup lichen - Otherwise known as Pixie Cup, Golf T, or Shrek's Ear, easy to find and lots of these little suckers out on Dartmoor :)

A little Gem from my Fungi hunt the other day, this tiny slimy specimen was glistening in the dappled light of a very Boggy copse on Dartmoor, and was just asking for its Photo to be taken :)
