This is fascinating. I interpret this as their focus is, instead of reflection & action, a superficial type of marketing.

Interestingly it actually preceded social media, which is the epitome of presenting a superficial brand to the world.

Along these lines, I would love to see some investigative journalism by indie outlets an turned toward what’s happened to conventional journalism. There is no way this is the only bias Sulzberger explicitly introduced.

(5/X) I should point out that jailing oligarchs is the only possible way to save our democracy. They're all cowards, look how the Russian ones responded once Putin jailed a couple. It's the only way to bring them in line.
