Listening to this ep I am reminded how instinctive the 1st bit of Kapital is if you're any kind of maker. Listen Karl, buddy, people keep DMing me trying to commission linen coats for $80 and then get mad when I explain why that will cost $500 - wild that sewing is weirdly radicalising in that way??

Capitalism isn’t a thing. It is a social relation. Today that means communal alienation: we’re alone together. Check out the new series Pod Kapital w/ Sina from the East Is a Podcast as we read Marx’s Capital. Subscribe!

“If you don’t have an anti-imperial analysis, an anti-Zionist analysis, an anti-genocide analysis, your politics and pushback against this particular moment in time are not going to amount to much.”

Great interview!
After serving 50 years of hard time as a US political prisoner, Leonard Peltier has returned to his Turtle Mountain Ojibwe homelands. His spirit remains unbroken as he continues to demand justice.

In an incredible and historic interview, Lakota historian, writer, and scholar Nick Estes sat down with Leonard Peltier for an in-depth conversation— about Leonard’s origins with the Red Power movement and ultimately AIM, about the sinister tactics of the FBI, and about Anna Mae Pictou Aquash.
Leonard Peltier’s Story Isn’t Over Yet
The Native activist spent nearly fifty years in prison for the killing of two F.B.I. agents. In January, Joe Biden commuted his sentence, and he went home.

The MAGA-Democrat warmonger clique promoted the silliest lie of Iranian WMDs/nukes, a lie that has persisted for decades. Why? It’s not to stop Iran. It’s to prevent Iran from slowing down their bloody genocide against Palestinians.
nicke.bsky.social
A major dividing line in American politics is the determining who benefits from the rights of conquest and genocide. Both are blood and soil narratives.
nicke.bsky.social
Years of priming Americans and other dupes to hate Iran and demonize Lebanese and Palestinian resistance are paying dividends for a genocidal state’s fever dreams. Genocidal brain rot is at the core of the American system.

Let’s have a little skepticism and media literacy in identifying what is clearly copaganda.
nicke.bsky.social
Last week in MN, two federal agents from ICE & CBP were charged with child sex abuse crimes. Yet news coverage has villainized a 150 lb woman “punching” federal agents during an ICE raid at a location news says was part of a drug bust, where no arrests were made or drugs seized.
nicke.bsky.social
Here’s the story. Note how the protestor arrest is unrelated to the alleged drug bust - which happened at a different location - but is written to make it sound like the two are related. The army of the rich scores another copaganda point. t.co/YuwuTxkSH0

Feds cite Scarface posters as “probable cause” to execute Twin Cities search warrants led by agencies like ICE. The info was released in court documents related to the arrest of someone protesting a fed raid. Media is reporting this like a bad Taylor Sheridan film.
