President of @atheists.org. Adopted. Philadelphian by choice, but forever a Midwesterner.
Generally surgery didn't result in 40 innocent people being killed and countless more being rendered homeless, John.

"Virtually flawless!"
January 4, 2026 at 1:42 AM
The @nytimes.com is laundering regime propaganda and hand-waving away the deaths of civilians in order to preserve their access to Pentagon sources.

An illegal act of war that killed "at least 40 people," including civilians, was not "virtually flawless" you ghouls.

Oooh, January 1. Better get going on those taxes.

I've always loved what @robertgarcia.bsky.social used at his swearing in: a copy of the Constitution, an issue of Superman #1, a copy of his citizenship certificate, and a photo of his parents.

But sure, it's atheists and religious minorities saying "happy holidays" that's the REAL War on Christmas.

White Christian Nationalism is an authoritarian, fascist ideology.

And the Vice President of the United States is an avowed, explicit White Christian Nationalist.

They can't help themselves.

"To be sure, the Trump Administrator is making life in the State Department a living hell — and hunting people for sport — but diplomats under Biden also grumbled at having to hit an extra button when opening up Microsoft Word."

So when it's "ballots might take a day or two because of the way the mail works," Jason is saying even the perception of a problem is bad. But when it comes to sexually harassing your students or palling around with a convicted sex trafficker and pedophile, meh, whatevs. Got it.

Great work, WaPo.

I'm grateful for the incredible doctors at Penn Veterinary Hospital, especially the oncology team, who helped us navigate the past 3 months. And I'm glad I was able to let Carter rest at home, in his (my) bed, instead of dragging him to an unfamiliar and scary hospital.

My Bluesky posting is mostly About Work™ with occasional cat-related spillover. In that vein: Carter was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. He's been responding well to treatment. But this week he took a turn for the worse. Basically stopped eating. We said goodbye last night here at home.

Van Jones don't have a brain-dead take challenge (impossible)

"He was using the microphone in a way that he was almost yelling. That’s not the Mamdani that we’ve seen on Tiktok and the great interviews and stuff like that."

New report from PRRI. Among a lot of 👀 data, it strikes me as extremely bad that more than 2/3s of Republicans think "being a Christian" is necessary to be truly America. prri.org/research/tru...
