I tried looking up some inspiration images for a D&D character I was making.
Most of the images were AI, the rest might have been but I didn’t notice.
I’m not against the tech, but it’s eradicating not just visibility for online artists, but trust that they aren’t actually also using AI. Very sad.

I remember reading LOTR for the first time and 200 pages in they finally got to where Bilbo was in the Hobbit by chapter 2. I swung to the map and saw how much farther Mordor was than the lonely mountain. I’ll tell you I had 0 faith in Frodo being able to make it at that point.

Learning a new TTRPG from the book feels like learning a jigsaw puzzle. At first every piece feels meaningless, but as you get an understanding of each part and how they connect to other parts, it gets easier and easier to get the whole picture.

I don’t want to call anybody out, but it feels like TTRPG comedy ran out of new jokes years ago. It’s all horny bard, angry barbarian, fireballing wizard, joke character becomes party favourite, etc.
Are there people making original, funny work in the space?
