In this political climate, we have to find hope and joy. Everything can't be doom and gloom 100% of the time -- that feeds right into the playbook. It exhausts us, and that's how the fascists win.
We have to do fun things to recharge and reset. We need things to look forward to.

It's always been about pitting the underclass against one another so nobody has time or energy to notice that the obscenely wealthy are the source of many of our daily problems.
One of the brilliant things our current iteration of oligarchs did is get people to conceive of free speech as being able to call your coworkers slurs rather than using it to say stuff like why are my tax dollars subsidizing your billionaire ass

Man, I'm disappointed that Beshear isn't throwing his hat into the ring. He could do some serious good on the federal level.
