Utter madness. 36 million people. 👇

At least 500,000 tons of American-grown food meant for food-insecure people worldwide are stuck in ports and warehouses due to Trump administration freeze on USAID.
It’s enough to feed >36 million people and valued at ~ $500 million.

US-grown food aid is stranded in ports worldwide despite waiver
It’s valued at nearly $500 million, and right now much of it is at risk of spoilage.

Trump’s tariff threats fit a growing global phenomenon: hardball migration diplomacy
Trump isn’t alone in using tariffs, travel bans and sanctions to make countries play ball on deportations. But the other side of migration diplomacy can be incentives for countries willing to take on ...

What a lie. Here's the Supreme Court in 2012 making clear that simply being in the country without permission is NOT a crime: "As a general rule, it is not a crime for a removable alien to remain present in the United States."

It's a civil violation, not a crime.
s a general rule, it is not a crime for a removable alien to remain present in the United States. See INS v. Lopez-Mendoza, 468 U.S. 1032, 1038 (1984). If the police stop someone based on nothing more than possible removability, the usual predicate for an arrest is absent. When an alien is suspected of being removable, a federal official issues an administrative document called a Notice to Ap- pear. See 8 U. S. C. §1229(a); 8 CFR §239.1(a) (2012). The form does not authorize an arrest. Instead, it gives the alien information about the proceedings, including the time and date of the removal hearing. See 8 U. S. C. §1229(a)(1). If an alien fails to appear, an in absentia order may direct removal. §1229a(5)(A).
