Lotta smart people out there with some thoughts about what team old Amanda is playing for. Some of them are a bit more nuanced than Laura Loomer.

Anyway, I’m making my 8 year-old boy who thinks “poopy” jokes and hearing an accidental “6-7” is the height of comedy watch Weird Al’s “UHF”. I thought was the height of comedy at 8. He’s physically rejecting it and that’s bumming me out.

Took a few viewings for it to click on for me.

If the tirade is forgiven, I think Richards is a Buster Keaton-level physical comedian. He got overshadowed by virtue of existing in the same cultural moment as Jim Carrey — who could do it all, but Richards really could make a meal out of walking through a door and being startled. God-level.

Seemed clear that Richards had a moment of clarity a quarter of the way through where he deduced the only way out was through and went big with it. If you watched the entire tirade, you can see what he was going for comedically. It was the clips and the still photos that did him in on that one.

It’s my right as an American to believe fanciful bullshit even if threatens to kill me for doing so.

Is your life just a treadmill of content production like that SalesforceChild video about her chameleon.

I wonder if all that goes away or is diminished significantly by Platner winning the Dem primary in Maine?

I’d think it would.

I’m starting to think that we didn’t bother learning the intellectual case against Nazi ideology because it was not necessary. Our access to WW2 veterans kind of baked it into our operating systems & when the vets died we all just figured everyone would feel that way forever.
