I will say, that I perceive content creators that do this to be victim’s in the long-run. They got success by bashing and circlejerking something, and now are perpetually stuck because that’s what the algorithm rewards them. Whether they want to move on to other things or not.

I know nothing of the guys that made this, but the book is genuinely amazing. One of better Christmas gifts I’ve ever gotten for sure.

You probably know this but for everyone else: the rim lighting is being done by duplicating the character mesh with different lighting and offsetting it. This needs to be brought up when talking about this because how INSANE AND GENIUS it is.

I think we need to differentiate between corporations doing the worst possible things imaginable with it, versus temp art used in pre-production. But seeing how, again, this tech is being used by the ultra rich in the worst possible manner, I understand where the justified zealously comes from.
