THANK YOU ALL for coming out and supporting the 8!!! It’s honestly so surreal how much fun we had today and how amazing it is to know how many people care about this bus as much as I do!
typewriteralley.bsky.social
This is amazing.

The momentum to fix the 8 is UNPRECEDENTED!

Need this in Seattle

I'm writing up an extensive case study of Bologna's transit priority policies, and when I write down the numbers of the 1984 referendum on a car-lite city center, I don't know if I'm more amazed by the turnout (90%?!?) or the % of yes (almost 70%)

It's just a world that no longer exists...

Do you look at small agencies? Saw that Columbus Ohio added night service and now has 10-15% growth

Another month of US transit agency data is just in, and DC's WMATA remains the fastest-growing major US transit agency, with ridership up 13% compared to last year

King County Metro (Seattle) & SEPTA (Philly) have also performed well, while LA Metro & NJTransit have lost riders

Never thought that bridge coulda been designed worse
nicksattele.bsky.social
Yeah ik but it’s just a much larger effort from a pragmatic side esp if Ballard Link isn’t open

What city do you live in? This is how it works in ex: NYC
nicksattele.bsky.social
Yea but it’s a lot harder to sell that map than it is to sell tweaking a few lines
nicksattele.bsky.social
I think the elephant in the room is that there aren’t enough service hours for that. Maybe the 49/60/36 yields extra? But that’s a big project
nicksattele.bsky.social
Oh wow that is an awesome proposal. I was hopeful that East Link would provide a venue for more restructure given the better headways.

I think with an 11 to Seattle Center and the 49+60+36, we'd realize 90% of this vision? I do empathize with the slope problems in Summit tho
nicksattele.bsky.social
Oh what was the proposal??

It too annoys me that there’s like 5 ways to go downtown and none of them are rather frequent

On complained are you talking about the 49 + 36? Or the RR G restructure?

I just don’t think Bruce Harrell has the experience needed to lead such a large city

We've been piloting having a traffic diverter on my Capitol Hill Street all week, and it's been working out great. I'd love to know how to use this data to make it permanent.

How are we gonna host the freakin WORLD CUP?!?!?
sounderbruce.bsky.social
Lots of people riding the 1 Line tonight, with 80,000 sports fans in town. The meter queue was organized but people were still cutting the line.
nicksattele.bsky.social
Why wouldn’t they wait until NR rezone passes?

Bus stop improvements and a hardened center line is scheduled there sometime before January

All those stairs and circulation space tho.

I could see 6 unit buildings cause of the building code
