It’s difficult being this regal. He often wonders why do we bother him.*

She looks like a little bear standing up for some honey 😂 - this is Kid-2’s cat, which we’ve pretty much inherited since she’s been at school and I love her.

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews
I could not read through this quickly enough, and I loved it so much, I'm already re-reading. Portal fantasy meets Game of Thrones, with a FMC that won't let it stay that dark - no matter how many times she has to die to change it.

Archangel's Eternity by Nalini Singh
This is a love letter to the world, the characters, and most of all the fans of this series as it says goodbye.

The Great Flood (Netflix)
Honestly, getting two amazing movies in one year is not something I expected anymore. This movie subverted my expectations and blew my mind. I loved every moment of this sci-fi disaster movie.

The Jasad Crown by Sara Hashem
I loved the first book, but had some reservations. This book blew my doubts away, because Sylvia is absolutely amazing and full of everything I want in a female main character. I can't wait to read more by Hashem.

Sinners
This is one of the best movies I've seen in decades.

The Devil's Plan (Netflix)
I like so few reality tv shows, but this one bucked the trend, maybe because there was so little backstabbing and so much teamwork

The Butcher of the Forest by Premee Mohamed
This is the best gothic fairy tale I've read. I can't stop thinking about it months later. My wife, reading it, couldn't stop saying how beautiful it was - and she's right. It's gorgeous.

The Inheritance by Ilona Andrews
I know this was serialized before being published, but as I can't read anything serial format, this was fresh to me when I picked up the book, and I loved it. The portal worlds, the hint of deeper danger, the politics, and all the post-apocalypse I could wish for

Archangel's Ascension by Nalini Singh (Guild Hunter #17)
Part 2 of one of my most anticipated pairings in years. This book was a warm hug, even with the heartbreak and hurt that the characters had to navigate.

Al of Us are Dead (Netflix)
This is a fantastic zombie show. Honestly, one of the best I've seen in a while. Now if they'd just give me season 2.

Daughter of Tides by Kit Rocha
An author I will follow anywhere, who consistently makes me feel hope and strength, this book delivers on love and acceptance, joy and overcoming. I can't wait for the follow-up

Which neatly leads into, The Wheel of Time (TV show) - this is both a source of great joy, and my biggest (entertainment) disappointment this year with it not getting renewed. I'm devastated by what we lost with this show being cancelled. What it gave us, and could have given us, was amazing.

Wheel of Time - by Robert Jordan
I started this series the 1st time many years ago, and finally really dug in when the show was announced. I finished early this year. The reading experience was one of the most enjoyable & satisfying I've had, and I am so glad I experienced it with the friends I did.

She hogs my bed every night (I’m currently sitting on about 1 sq foot of my king size bed), but I just can’t get over how freaking adorable she is

This is my favorite French toast recipe. So delicious and fluffy.

Making French toast in our house tonight for the 4 goblins (aged 16-23)

I never know how much, if any, will be leftover.

Just finished Wrapped by Rebekah Weatherspoon and it was such a delight! A quick novella read with a cinnamon roll MMC and an amazing, blunt, funny, FMC. Fun and sexy and I definitely need more.

Glad I picked this up as a bundle with A Man for Mrs Claus and I have more to look forward to!

We’re True Lawful Plantser for sure. We have outlines, know our characters inside out, and know the end, but we go off on tangents and often our story characters take us interesting places
