...or watching a tense scene between talented actors and then your eyes wander over to the corner of the screen and Ashley Johnson is sitting there *surprised pikachu face* like thist is the best thing she's ever watched too.

It can be hard to explain what makes the actual play so special even over polished animated productions, but there's nothing quite like the whole table getting up and jumping up and down because of a clutch dice role that just saved the day in what would otherwise be a too convenient plot twist...

Game #39: Lego Horizon Adventures. So that was... "Meh" describes it pretty well. But it's Horizon so I still enjoyed it. All the Lego machine designs a highlight. In Lego SW, the missions are something I got through to enjoy the lovely open world, here the open world is just repeating the levels.

Which is kinda funny when you remember that Brave New Worlds is just the Pike's Enterprise series from a run of comics from that same era. (Which was quite good, actually.)

Game #38: The Pathless. I'll say it again: the fun of your traversal will make or break your open-world game. And The Pathless has great movement. Enjoyed it a lot overall.

Wait, can we count porting mobile games to console and controller as a remaster with "updated gameplay"? Then Nier Re[in]carnation and also Horizon: Steel Frontiers.
