Isn't it about time for a few strikes on the very vulnerable crude oil pipelines? Or would that really piss off the Chinese?

Analysis from 2022: www.spglobal.com/energy/en/re...

(rather out of date about Russian refining and storage capabilities)

To be fair, this headline would work even better if they dropped 'over Andy Burnham'

Sadly, control-freakery is built into the DNA of Labour. Witness their demand for total control over candidates for the Senedd, giving the voters no say in who is "elected". #PlaidCymru is the choice for the future

In many of the housing areas, ('streets'), there were communal parking areas near the entrance and then footpaths to the front doors. Local service hubs (shop, primary sch etc) every mile or less, larger hubs (supermarkets, secondary schools, doctor) in every township.

It's not rocket science.

Do Amazon sell these? Or fairly easy to make with a few boards and some nails?

A dead white rat?

Blast you for starting this! I'm going to be reading these all night now!

The papers do seem to have had it in for the Irish though

They were not wrong. Just found this from 1876

Excellent stuff. Had a quick trawl in the Welsh papers. Corpses going up in flames everywhere! There's a Masters in this for someone!

Dublin 1895

I'll stick to this version please...

No problem. Look to the south

1. Invade Brazil
2. Clear-fell the Amazon jungle
3. Build a few antibiotic factories
4. Grow cows
5. Make burgers
6. Char over a high heat to create more carcinogens
7. Eat
8. Die

So, some good points, some bad.

Will Starmer now show some determination and statesmanship and cancel US access to the Diego Garcia base?

1. Collect 200 deposits
2. Buy residence permit in Vanuatu ($150,000)
3. Launder money
4. Move to Vanuatu
5. Buy luxurious villa in Vanuatu.
6. Result!

And, today's lesson (13/1/26) in our Cognitive Dissonance 101 module.

An example from a Guardian headline
"Trump says killers of protesters will ‘pay a big price’ and urges Iranians to ‘take over your institutions’"

Which should really say
January 13, 2026 at 7:36 PM
How?

Is it wrong to suggest that someone who bought a solid gold necklace, guaranteed 22ct, end-of-line special, honest guv, from a bloke on the market for £20 might have made an unwise decision?

Is it bullying to suggest that they read up on old proverbs about buying pigs in pokes?

Found elsewhere....

But it is to me.

"We must do what we conceive to be the right thing, and not bother our heads or burden our souls with whether we are going to be successful. Because if we don't do the right thing, we'll be doing the wrong thing, and we will just be part of the disease, and not a part of the cure."

That one on the right of the picture looks more like Mussolini every day.

I wonder if he'll suffer the same fate?

That cognitive test which the senile orange pedo 'aced' in full
January 2, 2026 at 10:02 PM
You'll need to go further than that.

The magic controller chips that were injected into us all with our covid vaccines circulate with the blood, so that means they can 'phone home' when they're circulating through the arms, legs and body. Have to block those too. We need tinfoil gimp-suit!

I'm sure there's something in English Canon Law about saying things like this.

A fitting end for the Telegraph staff and owners I think.

And, more recently, we could re-enact global annihilation over a drink! [warhead cards were separate]

Someone is still planning to re-fight the Battle of Midway.

The world has moved on.

Just been reading A Game of Birds and Wolves about Royal Navy war-gaming for the Battle of the Atlantic against the U-boats. Main conclusion: the best and most effective U-boat commanders of WW2 were a small group of WRNS in Liverpool! An interesting angle on gender history.
