#AI is automating #IT—help desks, junior devs, and testers are at risk. But IT isn’t dying, it’s evolving. The key? Adapt.

✅ Learn AI, don’t fear it.
✅ Specialize & upskill.
✅ Focus on strategy & leadership.

AI isn’t the enemy—it’s a #tool. Are you ready?

Shalini Kapoor's point about benchmarking AI-driven or supported interactions with users or customers is well taken. I would say that is the cornerstone of our development in our support of Walmart IT help desk programs.

This is probably not going to be the first time this happens or that we hear about it. Many companies we have found do not take this seriously enough.

We have been working with retailers to secure this process, using AI.

Definitely of interest for us at Help Desk Support Now. We have been developing AI driven IT support with this precisely in mind - can we defeat or disrupt social engineering attempts by groups like scattered spider?
“Scattered Spider actors steal sensitive data for extortion and often deploy ransomware.”

"use...social engineering techniques” like impersonating employees or contractors to convince the target company’s IT help desks to grant them access to internal systems."

These are worthy cautionary tales, certainly. I think businesses are moving in this direction regardless, but we can make more incremental decisions along the way in how we facilitate business processes with AI etc.
Anthropic put their AI chatbot in charge of a small business

It did not turn a profit, had an existential crisis, then gaslit itself into believing it was the victim of a cruel April Fool’s joke (this is a spiral many of us who worked in retail have experienced)
