the feds call us "violent agitators", the insurance contract says they don't have to pay for my medical expenses or pay out life insurance.

There's a clause in most insurance policies that exclude coverage for "acts of war" but the fine print says that "riots, voluntary participation in violent uprising or insurrection, etc." are counted as "war" for exclusion purposes. If I get shot because I'm at a protest or even just in the area and

Musicians have always been political. Just ask Dmitri Shostakovich or Tom Morello.

It's also not true unless the QR code is a link pointing to some website they can use to track data access. A QR code can store raw text, and in that case there's no possible mechanism for tracking access.

Your suggestion was literally "put a bumper sticker on your car."
January 12, 2026 at 8:20 AM
No, it's a question for you to answer because you keep insisting you know what I should be doing.
January 12, 2026 at 8:02 AM
Feel free to quote where I said "helping the homeless" is all I'm doing.
January 12, 2026 at 8:01 AM
If you're so serious,

Describe in detail how you would spend all of your time if you were in what you think are my shoes.
January 12, 2026 at 7:58 AM
You keep reading "working in my community" as "helping the homeless", which is very telling.
January 12, 2026 at 7:56 AM
You're not a serious person.

Should I martyr myself a thousand miles from home to satisfy some canuck sea lion?
January 12, 2026 at 7:38 AM
I'm already "exercising my responsibility" by looking out for the people in my community in the real world and in online spaces I administrate and moderate. What are you doing to fulfill your responsibility as a NATO and UN citizen to stop the atrocities member nations are conducting? Posting at me?

occupying cities on the other side of the country from us despite the fact that we're already struggling to stay alive and indoors. My decision isn't hypothetical. It's my "actual" life.
January 12, 2026 at 7:24 AM
Mine is "actually" a decision I make every day. I take care of the people in my community because I don't have any influence over anyone else. It's "arrogance" for you to claim that people in a country you don't even *live* in are individually responsible for fighting back against a military force

agree or aren't going to change their minds anyways. Only one of those choices is actually going to make a meaningful difference in the world.
January 12, 2026 at 6:51 AM
Here's an *actual* trolley problem for you: I can choose between 1) supporting the people I live with who might otherwise be homeless or dead, or 2) I can stand on a street corner in one of the most left-aligned communities in my region holding a sign where the only people who see it either already
January 12, 2026 at 6:51 AM
You're tilting at windmills, you insufferable clown. You're arguing a point I'm not even making while ignoring the actual words you haven't bothered to read.
January 12, 2026 at 6:44 AM
That's really gonna stop feds thousands of miles away from shooting people and abducting them off the street, is it? Holding a sign while I'm sitting at my workstation alone in a lab at work? Driving a vanifesto down the freeway heading home in the middle of the night after week?
