If the DEA had killed 80 innocent Americans in the course of apprehending one drug dealer, there would be riots. But we are so ghoulishly indifferent to the lives and humanity of people abroad that it's barely even part of the conversation.
A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

Apparently the greatest sin of my life was to learn the language and travel to parts of the world under fire by US imperialism and actually find out what people were saying. And anyway, even if sourced, it was worthless and suspect because it ran against the imperialist narrative.

People keep calling Nicolas Maduro a dictator, but that necessitates a strong central executive. Venezuela is still a functioning constitutional government today, and the US is unable to conquer it, which should lead people to the (correct) conclusion that Venezuela is actually not a dictatorship.
Some congressional Democrats think it looks weak if they criticize the American dictator for illegally removing the Venezuelan dictator.
Personally, I think it looks weak to abdicate your constitutionally mandated war-powers to enable a war that 74% of Americans oppose. Grow a pair!

By any reasonable definition the so-called ceasefire agreement for Gaza only applies to one side. The Israelis are continuing to kill Palestinians, block desperately needed aid from entering Gaza and are carrying out assassinations.
