Something I learned from making puzzle games

Recently I've started doing a thing where if I have something I want to say, I'll do it as a comic. I'm not good at completely vocalizing my thoughts, but am good at it when I can attach those thoughts to a drawing. Turning jokes into comics and shortening rants into 4 panels.

I don't like the game awards

This is the worst thing to happen with a game that looks promising.

I'm playing Angeline Era, and it's fascinating how a simple interaction can be made so rewarding by hiding the fact you can interact with it. Finding levels is so fun because they aren't visible on the map. You need to hold down a button in a spot where you think there's a level. They're all secrets

It's been a while since I recommended some games

Games Mentioned: 1000XRESIST, Creaks, Gentoo Rescue, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

it's always really cool when something I like or a creator I follow gets popular. Cause like now this small creator or thing is getting the love and attention they deserve, and it's really cool to see. Also, a little guilty pride of liking something before it becomes popular.

Why did no one tell me I could change the art for the games in my steam library?
November 29, 2025 at 1:28 AM
The fun thing about making a puzzle game is as soon as the mechanics are made, the game sort of makes itself. I discover interactions, and then I make a level where the interaction is needed, but I never personally come up with the every interaction. They sort of just happen.

If I ever release a big game on steam, I want put in piracy checks, but not antipiracy. Like a little message saying "THANK YOU FOR PIRATING MY GAME" and give them like a little cosmetic or something they can get specifically for pirating the game. No shaming, just something extra. Pro-Piracy checks

Is it normal to have 5,454 games on my wishlist? I'm sure I'll play all of them eventually, right? Once I finish all 1,704 games in my library I'm sure it'll happen.

It's not gay to make out with other girls if you etch the name of The True Cosmic One into the walls, that completes the contract. I don't know The True Cosmic One's name, so I'm always gay when I kiss girls.

If the Steam Machine is affordable, then I might just replace my old pc with it cause fuck Microsoft. I need it replaced anyways cause my old pc wouldn't even run Windows 11 and is eventually going to be obsolete without security updates, and all the things I use my pc for would run on Steam Machine

it's so pathetic how companies try to make AI the default. For instance, Youtube has AI autodubs automatically on and needs to be turned off manually every video, and Google has a non-optional AI summary for every search. They spent too much money on AI and are trying so badly to make people use it.

I've uploaded my game Belts and Discoveries to the ThinkyCon Jam. It's pretty janky and experimental, but I enjoyed making it.
