Tuesday I worked as a poll worker. I was the youngest person working in my assigned polling district by about 20 years. It was eye opening and amazing to see democracy up close. Next election think about working, the torch needs to be passed to next generations.

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.

Waking up to news all Federal loans and grants are paused immediately. There are so many unanswered questions regarding this mostly can my students get their grants? Can our schools get our disbursement? Can we still process loans? Can we disburse them?
