I'm concerned about the serious drop off in ocean science content at SheetMusicPlus.com post-2016.

www.tdar.org may have some. Seems I recall there was a lot of 3d scanning at Çatalhöyük at one point too, though not sure where that might’ve been deposited. (Assume you’ve looked for photogrammetry datasets on OpenAlex already?)

We did something radical that shouldn’t feel radical: we stopped funding science built for journals so that we can reimagine scientific publishing. First @arcadiascience.com. Now at @asterainstitute.bsky.social.

Goal is to build up a set of search terms for reproducible meta-analyses or bibliometric/metascientific purposes that also maximize coverage (miss few relevant articles) and minimize noise (avoid false positives). 2/2

What search terms do you use in interdisciplinary literature searches to narrow your scope to (a) empirical work (vs. literature reviews or theory, say) and/or (b) research involving religion? docs.google.com/spreadsheets... Add your terms or comment here. 1 / 2

The Navigation Fund's open science funding portfolio is now up and running with two RFPs, one for OS meetings and one for OS and AI. (See onward links at the bottom of this call for more.) It's all looking encouragingly nimble, and with a substantial annual payout for OS. os.nav.fund/meeting-fund/

Great to see senior academics in cognitive development calling out current threats to foundational scientific study of how children learn and think while also praising collaborative innovations like the Open Science Framework and the Developing Belief Network.

In full accordance with the liturgical calendar of no one, today was the day to take the outdoor Christmas lights down, partly but mainly so the lawn guy didn't cut the cable.

Psych-DS is (1) spellcheck for your datasets and (2) a pathway to standardizing data in our academic fields that *everyone* can learn.

And it's live RIGHT NOW!

And for clarity, I mean why more analyses (whatever the finding) of longitudinal household panel surveys of religious variables and health or life satisfaction variables don’t show up in the literature.

srsly if you hate that publishers charge your grant $5-10K for open access, there's a simple solution

don't write for those journals
don't review for those journals
don't edit for those journals

Scientific Reports, Nature Comms, Comms Psych, Frontiers <- I auto-delete all their emails. easy 👍🏻

I'm rapidly coming to that view. I need to clear my queue at this venue just out of professional responsibility, but then they can go to hell
