If you see the chapters here, the blog posts are a backup of the main copy on www.royalroad.com/fiction/6358... and I'd encourage you to go read it there if interested. :)

There are 60+ chapters already, so it will be a while before the copy on cubiclehermit.com catches up.

Had to create a tiny config file on Windows, and thought it would be so much easier on Linux.

Then, I remembered from 25+ years ago: the equivalent in DOS of "cat > filename" -> "copy con filename"

So I tried it! It still works on Windows 11. Backwards compatibility with the 1980s!

Today's eclipse, near-peak, at home (near San Francisco.)

EOS M3, two polarizing filters, with the pop-out screen at 90 degrees.

Straight from camera JPG and cropped/adjusted raw. Because of the lens flare, could not get a shot at 300mm, but this wasn't bad for thrown together quickly.

Not sure what I'll end up using this for, but in the meanwhile, here's a photo of my cats, and a link to www.scribblehub.com/series/43391... which is the web-serial "novel" I've been writing on and off.
