Reports are that with tourney expansion comes a new opening round - revamping the first four to be 12 AQs and the final 12 at large teams.

Moving all these AQs to the opener ain’t it and is a key reason why tourney expansion harms the smaller schools.

I mean, agreed. But again, given that just about every school is rightfully complaining about being arbitrarily locked out of postseason play for no reason, I am assuming all will go for the 3-year play and not the 4-year. Also it’s never a bad time to ruffle Badman’s feathers

I guess technically the NCAA has to approve it, so Geff is technically right. I think the news would be though if the schools didn’t take/weren’t approved for the shorter path, not the other way around.
