i know the spirit are pissed but i woke up in awe at that performance. they had zero fear and absolutely went at a historically great nwsl team, and the difference was quite literally mere inches. in a way i love that they’re pissed, but eventually they should be delighted at what they’ve done.

So many happy tears keep coming about the Spirit’s win. It feels cathartic. All the emotion and sadness and rage about the election, then utter joy on that field. I don’t think I’m alone in feeling like these games have helped release something, helped recenter what it feels to be human again. 🖤💛🩶
