This accusation that women being slutty and trashy are "setting back feminism" is what I would call Respectability Feminism, the idea that women can further their position in society by being more respectable. And like all respectability politics, it's bullshit.

i've said this before but i don't get the obsession with making live action versions of anime. it never looks good. you know what would be way better? making anime versions of live action stuff. like the animatrix. hear me out: anime john wick
