I think in a year where so many of our institutions have complied in advance to fascists, threw the trans community under the bus, declined to defend our immigrant friends and neighbors from its jackbooted march, fell further into disrepair and disarray thanks to market consolidation and private equity vampirism, and otherwise utterly failed to meet the moment, people are looking for anyone at all to have any kind of spine, principles, values of any sort that involve standing firm and telling the fashy pricks to fuck off. The conservative culture war has long been targeting porn games, but their impact is already splashing out into "mainstream" art - like HORSES. What Steam and Epic did was comply in advance, afraid that by letting HORSES be sold they'd face more conservative backlash such as Valve and Itch saw this summer. They're all cowards.
