so it's not that the AI itself is thinking or feeling, obviously that's not true; but the whole thing becomes an easy way to reinforce white supremacist and colonial norms without even realizing it, and there can be actual unseen victims in the mix.

2. when (predominately white) folks eagerly begin throwing shit around in a way that is reminiscent of and in some cases a direct callback to how racist slurs have been employed historically, that's at the very least a moment to pause and reflect.

the reason why it's a character flaw to investigate is twofold:

1. we know that AI is partially sleight-of-hand, with at least some responses being read and responded to by actual people, usually marginalized and severely underpaid tech workers in places like Kenya.
