Really makes you appreciate the more tightly moderated spaces, I'll say that much.

Alright got to the point where the game basically says "idk, go get some gameplay done, this is an open game right?"

Writing did not improve. I'll see how far it goes, the factory stuff is fun at least.

It's kinda amusing that Valves "solution" to this problem is to essentially just ship an entire second distro on the side packaged within the steam launcher.

When you run Steam on Linux natively (aka not proton), it basically just has its own versions of most major system libraries.

It's one of the reasons I do respect that FromSoft chose to make Nightreign explicitly *not* a live service.

In general it's a big problem with co-op games since those aren't just reliant on your own interests, but with your friend group as well.

It's a shame, Rian Johnson is talented and I do think that if he got another chance at it (just not as a main movie, idk, a TV show or a Direct-to-Video - do they still make that?) he could do something interesting.

The real killer for the Sequels was primarily poor planning on Disney's end (+some real life complications), but their handling of the backlash is just one more factor that made the final product such a mess.

They basically only got Abrams back because nobody else wanted to do it.

Also the case with Balatro iirc, and equally unsurprising.

Both of those games absolutely nail the dopamine receptors with sheer style/presentation.

I had negative expectations for Rian Johnson handling the subject matter, given the uh... extreme dislike a lot of American atheists tend to have for the concept of religion, but he really knocked it out of the park.

It's a really good movie, up there with the first in quality.

Dawn of War (OG, not 2) is the first I think? I personally like that approach the most.

It's fun to build up a base and then send your little guys against other bases.

I mean, these guys managed to neutral tone someone throwing a Nazi salute this year to just being "a salute controversy".

Wikipedia's bias is entirely because the sources it relies on are extremely milquetoast and afraid of saying things that people w/ cash don't like.

Which sucks because that's pretty much the strongest writing muscle New Vegas had as a game. NV isn't in the "barely surviving" stage anymore, it's in the "let's look at civilizations after the war and how they differed from the old-world" stage.

Yeah I'm referring to Ulysses here not as in the dialogue specifically (although he is badly written as well), more in what he set out to do. The Doylist view.

Ulysses' from that view is a screed against the idea that Fallout can become a post-post-apocalypse.
