As a non-american, it's admittedly kind of tiring to see a bunch of "not about current event" spaces get invaded by Americans that want to talk about current events.

It's a shame RJ never returned to Star Wars. Even if TLJ isn't the *best* movie, it's the only one of the sequels that I'd say actually holds up in terms of having a heart.

I am once again screaming from the rooftops that the "correct" way to get into Fate is fucking pick one and watch it.
In general, it will strongly benefit you to experience art the "wrong" way from time to time. Watch a sequel first, read the funky scanlation, play the shitty port. See what you get out if it, and how that differs from what people normally get out of it.
