🙃 Why does almost every romance manga series spend all the time in the world on getting the two characters into the “actually dating” phase and then immediately zip to “married with kids and now the series is over.”

I don't know if it's a cause or effect but "listing everything about your book and characters up front" has become an advertisement method.
Makes me sad that authors are made/feel the need to make posts like, "Love triangle! Will they/won't they! Haunted past!" instead of surprising their audience.
