3. 1776 - David McCullough (or literally any other book of his, he truly has a gift for bringing history to life in his works!)

Basically he's calling other wealthy autocrats to help him dismantle the government in ways most beneficial for themselves. Who else can work 80 hr weeks for free and has vested interest in destroying the regulatory state?

This is absolutely guaranteed to work but it wouldn't even take big media to make it happen. Flood social media with Elon praise for winning the election and how he's the real president and his ass will be gone in a nano-scaramucci!

If they're optional why would any of them subject themselves it. Why would anyone expect anything else.
Destroying the government is the goal, norms matter exactly not at all. Unless it's codified in law and actually enforced expect this administration to tear it down.

I think Thune will prove he can play nice by getting the senate to confirm some of trump's less egregious picks (Rubio so far?) and will set up the board for recess appointments for the truly distasteful nominees, tossing the issue to the courts if the Dems fight it.

I had this conversation with my son just this morning. I think he's still a little young for this to be an issue with his classmates but I don't want to take the chance. This kind of "joke" is unacceptable!
