Great segment. Please consider doing a segment on how the research spending cuts at Columbia University came about? Who ordered them? Under what authority? How were the grants selected? Who negotiated with Columbia? What outside influences were involved? The spending cuts are a black box

Please set an account in CA where seniors can send their estimated taxes from our 401k’s so that we won’t worry about social security and Trump impounding funding to Ukraine and FEMA. I am sick of sending money to red states just so they can rip it off and bad mouth us. Save the $72B CA surplus

In comes Trump with his bromance Elon and the DOGE. They too believed that the Dems were the spenders only to find out that they had been tricked by Congress. Oh no the people who voted for Trump were the moochers. The Blue states the chumps The Red States are going to go broke. Sorry rurals

Progressive need to vote with their wallets that is all we have left. Boycott every company that supports Trump and his enablers. That means no Facebook, Tesla, Home Depot. Chick Fil A , Walmart, Amazon, Starbucks, Subaru, Fox. More names are welcome

People also need a list of companies like Subaru who pretend to be inclusive but actually located their non-union plant in a Congressional district famous for its right wing anti gay representatives in Indiana.

Elon Muck track record

Self-driving cars - Marketing success; technical and financial failure.
Space X - Spectacular technical success; financial success dependent on Skylink workload.
Skylink - Technical success; financial success uncertain.
Neuralink - Just plain scary.

WSJ has gotten it all wrong about LA fires. A failure of a free market. Real estate developers built multimillion $ wooden fire traps within 6 feet of a property line in a desert. Architects that focused on marketability not fire hardening. Palm trees next to walls. Spanish revival fire traps

because people think it is a joke like keeping your tires inflated to increase fuel economy.

We don't want to do anything about #3.

So the UN focuses on #4 and #5 which we can control.

So climate action is not a joke just an admission that we don't have a lot of control over the weather.

6. The eruption of an undersea volcano near Tonga in 2021 that pumped trillions of gallons of water vapor, the most prevalent greenhouse gas, into the stratosphere.

We can't do anything about #1 and 6.

We don't do anything about #2

3. Decreased global pollution, i.e., decrease in the amount of atmospheric aerosols
4. A small rise in CO2, i.e., the delta impact of CO2 decreases as its concentration increases in the atmosphere
5. A big rise in methane for unknown reasons
