Fascinating how many people here casually wish “more cancer” on you just for having a different opinion.
Even more fascinating: they delete their post the moment you respond without losing your temper.
Says a lot. Not sure what’s worse – the wish or the cowardice.
Gestern eine Runde entspannt Laufen 🏃‍♂️

As of now, the case has been taken over by a lawyer.

According to the expert’s report, the damage is estimated at around €10,000. The truck involved was registered in Poland and insured with HDI.

So the situation is… unresolved, but no longer chaotic.

I don’t have the car.

On December 23rd, the expert responsible for estimating the damage called me.

He didn’t take long.

The car was classified as a total economic loss.

The impact had affected the A and B pillars, and the C pillar was bent. Structurally, it wasn’t something you could just “fix and move on from.”

Finding a replacement window turned out to be harder than expected.

The Avenger isn’t exactly common in Europe, and parts availability reflects that. New windows were either unavailable or absurdly expensive. Used ones were almost impossible to find.

I kept searching anyway.

The day I had my last MRI, I finally got good news: nothing new was found.

It was one of those rare moments where you allow yourself to breathe a little.

Later that day, the garage called.

They told me a truck had hit my car and driven off. The rear left window was smashed.

Once I was back in Germany, the next challenge started: getting the car registered.

I needed a garage willing to deal with TÜV on an imported Dodge. That turned out to be harder than expected. A few places said no. Others didn’t reply at all.

It rained almost the entire way as I drove the car back to southern Germany.

Surprisingly, the drive itself felt very smooth. The ride comfort was good, calm, almost relaxing. For a moment, there was even a bit of anticipation.

At the same time, the electronics started acting strangely.

I eventually found a lead in the Netherlands. A small garage, not a dealer chain. The car wasn’t perfect, but it looked right, and the rust issues were limited.

I’d been searching for about six months by then. Germany hadn’t worked. Neither had Sweden, France, Italy, or Belgium.

Germany taught me two things very quickly: rust, and silence.

I asked very specific questions before I even considered driving out there: subframe, rust points, underbody condition. A lot of sellers simply didn’t reply.

At first I looked for a Dodge Durango. Then I did the math and stepped back, maintenance would’ve eaten my budget alive.

So I narrowed it down to Avenger / Caliber / Charger.

I drove a Caliber for 15 years and ~300,000 km with basically no drama (still on the first clutch).

I’ve been looking for a “special” car for a simple reason: living with chronic cancer changes how you think about time.

Not in a dramatic way. More like… you start choosing things that feel meaningful, not just practical.

I loved someone who changed me.
And now I’m sitting here with a hole in my chest
because I had to let them go.
… because sometimes love means holding the knife yourself when you set someone free.

MAGA calls it “strength” when Trump threatens judges and sends troops into U.S. cities.
Strength without principle isn’t power, but decay in uniform.

MAGA 2025 looks like this:
revoking visas for critics, bombing Venezuelan “drug boats,” deploying troops at home, flirting with white-nationalist “remigration” talk, planning a Trump monument while the government is shut down (…)

You can’t wave the flag and strangle what it stands for.

Vorasidenib daily. Interferon every 4 weeks.
Neutrophils low, but stable.

I train very hard, not to escape, but to improve.
The system holds, but only because I keep talking, checking, adjusting.
Nothing casual about it.

It’s work.
But it works.

They promised “drain the swamp.” Instead they’ve weaponized the government.
- MAGA pressured the FBI to cut ties with anti‑hate groups, turning oversight into censorship.
- Trump now embraces Project 2025, a radical blueprint to gut independent agencies and centralize power.
